PRESS | ARTISTES No.35 – The Power of Flowers in Painting
It was an absolute honour and joy be featured in the article “Les pouvoir des fleurs en peinture” (The power of flowers in painting) by Miguel Ramis from ARTISTES Magazine No.35 this early spring. Thank you so much Miguel for your kindness and interest in my journey as an artist and in my flower paintings in watercolours.
Flowers have always been one of my biggest passions. I love everything about them, their colours, their fragrances, the textures of the petals, and especially when it comes to light and shadow plays, they can be the most striking wonders of nature. As a symbol of youth, they bloom gorgeously before withering away. The fact that they are so fragile, so ephemeral also creates an attractive quality, making us appreciate them even more. For me, painting them is a way of taking time to look at them and contemplate their beauty, and also a wonderful way of conserving them in time.
