This waterlily took a long time to paint, even longer than the Summer Greens, yet it was half the size. In between the washes, I even finished another piece. But looking at the beautiful flower glowing in the sun, the green leaves and blue water like a drop of freshness on a summer day, it lifted up my spirit and encouraged me to complete. It reminded me to practice my patience. And not afraid to be wrong, not afraid to fail, not afraid to waste color nor paper, just practice hard every day.
